New Category for Purple Star Lenses

We have added a new SquiDirectory category for Lenses that have been awarded the Purple Star Award at Squidoo.

What is the Purple Star Award? Giant Squids every week, are invited to nominate a lenses for the NEW coveted Squidoo purple star award. Squid Giants can nominate their own lenses or someone else's, but one requirement they must be Giant Squid lenses. Every Friday they select up to 6 worthy lenses and give them purple stars, announcing the winners on the secret Giants blog.

If your Squidoo lens is awarded the coveted Purple Star Award, please submit it to the new Purple Star Lens category in the SquiDirectory addition to any other appropriate categories it fits into.

New Category for Squidoo Lensmaster Profiles

We have added a new SquiDirectory category. Now featuring the Squidoo Lensmaster's Profile Directory. Why? Well, links into your Squidoo lensmaster profile from sites outside of Squidoo can help it get indexed and bring authority to your profile page, which in-turn links to your Squidoo lenses and other resources, transferring authority to them. In addition to linking into your Squidoo profile from the SquiDirectory, you can link into it from other resources too, like other social networking profiles and your blog.

The New SquiDirectory Blog

I've decided to start up the SquiDirectory Blog to help chronicle the growth of the SquiDirectory, and to feature Squidoo Lenses and Lensmasters that stand out from the school of squid for their quality of work.
The SquiDirectory Squidoo Directory currently has over 1700 Squidoo Lenses in more than 700 categories and it's quickly growing into a valuable information resource.
